The biggest environmental problem the entire earth faces today is most definately global warming. Its all about climate change. An increase in global temperatures is expected, other changes include sea level rise, and intensity of extreme weather events. Other effects include changes in agricultural yields, species extinctions and increases of different strains of disease. Most national governments have signed and ratified the Kyoto protocol, which is aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Some people think that golbal warming is just a myth or theory, I believe these people are scared of the truth.

I think the biggest problem our environment faces today is global warming. There are alot of people whom are doing their bit to help prevent this but I believe people need to do alot more.Even the smallest things count for example minimising greenhouse gases in ones house. It is not only our future we have to think about but also those of generations to come.

The biggest problem in our environment today is the lack of action being taken against global warming. Global warming is the biggest and most serious problem our environment faces. It is occurring and the effects are real. It is not being taken seriously and its consequences will seriously affect generations to come. Despite high awareness and serious recognition among global consumers, global warming is not considered a major personal concern in the short term.Global warming is accepted in some countries as a prominent and sustained issue. In others, it is not even recognised as a problem. A 47-nation poll conducted in 2007 found that "Substantial majorities 25 of 37 countries say global warming is a 'very serious' problem". Global warming is increasingly more than just an environmental issue, as businesses become increasingly exposed to risks and potential disruptions due to climate change. Regardless of this, not enough is being done. We need to take actions quickly to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases. We need to adapt to the significant changes that lie ahead and manage the associated risks. We need new international agreements with acceptable targets for each country to adopt. Global warming can not be solved in isolation, and nations need to work together.

It is Global warming, no doubt. This had been a major issue for decades and organizations worldwide has been holding up campaigns for a reduced emission of carbon dioxide (green house effect substance) into the environment. Green house emissions have caused depletions/ thinning out in the ozone layer. That is the reason for the meltings in the polar regions, resulting floods in Asia, Venice and other lowland countries in the Pacific region. The widening of the ozone hole also causes weather changes in our atmosphere. Eg:( seasons in between the years may come later or earlier than scheduled and turn out to be much warmer or colder.)

The biggest problem our environment faces today is Global Warming. And considering there are so many factors which play a role in its cause and growth, it is hard to crush. People are too comfortable with their lifestyles and think just because they aren't seeing the long term and major effects of their actions that its not really happening. That they are able to leave all their house lights on all day just because its convenient, without thinking about me emissions. It ludicrous that our society is so narrowminded and stubborn to even put in a real effort to make the change. I know I myself find it difficult to reduce carbon emissions, i even leave my light on accidently on occasion. But the fact that i know that it is doing harm, helps me to remember what it is that we are taking care of. It is our fault that "global warming" has occured. so it is OUR job to fix it.
